School Events and Fundraisers

Dear Friends of the Montessori School of Cheyenne,

Giving Tuesday has quickly come upon us.  It is an opportunity to invest in the causes we feel have, are, and will continue to impact this world. On Tuesday, November 27th, 2018, people around the world come together for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage generosity. I am reaching out on behalf of the Montessori School of Cheyenne to encourage those who have been impacted or influenced by the Montessori Philosophy to donate to this valued cause.  The School displays continued excellence in early childhood education, producing students that are prepared, inquisitive and successful.

The educational approach taken in Montessori schools allows children to grow at their own pace and invites students to pursue their special interests. Independence, freedom within limits, uninterrupted periods of work time and learning through discovery are vital parts of the Montessori method.  All of these key learning approaches provide children many opportunities to develop and pursue their personal gifts at an early age, giving them a head start on a successful future career. Montessori education offers our children opportunities to develop their potential as they step out into the world as engaged, competent, responsible, and respectful citizens with an understanding and appreciation that learning is for life. Some of today’s most successful people attribute their success to the Montessori Education they received.

The Montessori School of Cheyenne has a long history in Cheyenne. In 1978, Betty Ann Beierle began the School. It was first located in the basement of a church and later moved to 3619 Evans Ave. At that time, the school offered one morning class for approximately 15-20 children. It began as a 501C(3) non-profit organization and continues with this status today. We are thankful to Betty Ann Beierle for the foundation she laid. Today, the Montessori School of Cheyenne is located at 5926 Townsend Place. We house five Primary classrooms (preschool age children 3-6) and three Toddler (12 months old-3) classrooms.

We are thankful for all of our wonderful parents, alumni, volunteers, staff, and community who support our school. Remember, it is the children that bring the blessings of each day. Please help us to continue to provide this excellent service to the community of Cheyenne. We hope to expand the availability of the Montessori philosophy to many students now and in the future. With your continued support, the Montessori School of Cheyenne can continue to grow and provide the best early childhood education in the Cheyenne community.

Please take a moment to consider giving to this noble cause. You can donate through the mail, in person or online by visiting our website.
