Welcome to The Montessori School of Cheyenne, I am glad you are here! MSC has been offering high quality Montessori education and care since 1978.  We have been in our new facility since June of 2016.  We welcome children ages 12 months through 6 years of age. The Montessori School is one of the only schools in Wyoming to be nationally accredited, and recognized by the American Montessori Society (AMS).

The Montessori School of Cheyenne is a school not a daycare facility.  At MSC we strive to nurture each child in a loving, caring, and enriched environment. We teach the child to respect others, nature and themselves, while developing an internal love for learning. We are a community of children, parents, families, and highly qualified staff united by the Montessori philosophy. We welcome all of our parents to visit your child's classroom. If you have any questions or a desire to be a part of the Board or one of our committees, please stop in the office - we would love to talk with you anytime.

We offer nurturing environments with exceptional and experienced teachers. The teachers offer support and guidance to each of their students with warmth and respect. Our focus is to teach children the foundational skills they will need to succeed in all their future school endeavors until they reach their adult lives. We are thankful for all of our wonderful parents, alumni, volunteers, staff, and community who support our school. It is the children that bring the blessings of each day. It is with your help and support that MSC strives to provide this excellent service to the community of Cheyenne. We hope to expand the availability of the Montessori philosophy to many students now and in the future. We thank you for your continued support to allow the Montessori School of Cheyenne to continue to grow and provide the best early childhood education in the Cheyenne community.

Thank you for choosing MSC! We are looking forward to a great school year and summer session!

May is here and hopefully the warm weather will be back soon! Here at MSC we are ready to get outside and enjoy it!

During the first week of this month our topic of study will be taking a closer look at ocean life, specifically fish. We will discuss different types of fish, as well as learn the parts of this classification of animal through materials such as Parts of a Fish 3 Part Cards and Types of Fish Object to Word matching. We will also learn about the ocean as a habitat for these interesting animals. This will include an extension of our study of coral reefs, which we began as we studied Australia. I would also like to say a big 'Thank you' to all of our Letter Experts! Everyone has done a great job! The week of May 6th will be spent learning about dinosaurs. We will discuss the interesting features of this group of animals, as well as discuss some similarities and differences between other animal classifications we have studied. This will be done through a variety of children's literature and Types of Dinosaurs 3 Part Cards. During the third week of this month we will introduce a new unit of study, in which we discuss a variety of music concepts. We will learn types of instruments through 3 Part Cards as well as discuss many famous composers! The final week of the school year will be spent preparing for the warmest season of the year, summer! We will participate in summer activities and lessons along with a variety of discussions about the season itself, all in preparation fo the relaxing days ahead!

All of the teachers would like to thank you for sharing your beautiful children with us this year. We are so excited to see them continue to learn and grow in the future! It's hard to believe that our school year is almost over! We hope everyone has a great summer!
