Thank you for choosing the Montessori School of Cheyenne
Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood in Cheyenne, WY, we go beyond traditional childcare as the community’s only Montessori school. Operating as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we are committed to high‑quality Montessori education.
Who we are
Montessori School of Cheyenne is dedicated to nurturing each child in a safe, caring, and enriched environment. Our mission is to foster respect for others, nature, and self while cultivating an intrinsic love of learning. We are a vibrant community of children, parents, families, and highly qualified staff united by the Montessori philosophy, which emphasizes open communication, trust, and mutual support.
Our credentialed guides partner with families to support each child’s unique journey. In thoughtfully prepared, multi‑aged classrooms, we create opportunities for self‑directed and joyful learning—helping children reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
what we do
We offer a range of educational programs for children from 12 months to 12 years old, including toddler, primary, kindergarten, and elementary summer & after-school programs. Each program is designed to meet the unique needs of each child and promote their overall development. We offer more than daycare—even our youngest learners are immersed in a Montessori environment that nurtures independence, exploration, and meaningful engagement from the very beginning.
how we do it
Our school is designed to provide a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for our students. Each classroom is equipped with child-sized furniture, Montessori materials, and resources that support hands-on learning and exploration. Every classroom also includes its own child‑sized bathroom facilities to support independence and ease of movement throughout the day. Weather permitting, children enjoy daily outdoor time, giving them space to explore nature, build gross‑motor skills, and connect with their environment.
Beyond the classroom, students enjoy a variety of extracurricular opportunities and community events that enrich their experience—offering space for creativity, movement, cultural celebrations, and meaningful connections with families and peers.
